Student sues Amherst College for withholding degree based on 2009 sexual assault allegation by Jack Flynn

Two weeks before graduation in May, Amherst College decided to withhold a diploma from a senior based on an unproven sexual assault allegation from 2009, according to a lawsuit filed in U.S. District Court.


The school also rescinded the student's paid, one-year fellowship representing Amherst College at high schools and college fairs, according to the lawsuit filed by Northampton lawyers Luke Ryan and David P. Hoose.
