LAWSUIT - Former U-M Student Says he was Forced Out on False Rape Allegation, Files Lawsuit


The University of Michigan unfairly forced student Drew Sterrett off campus by denying him due process in its investigation of a false sexual misconduct allegation, according to a federal lawsuit.

The allegation emerged during summer 2012, after Sterrett’s freshman year at U-M, according to the lawsuit, which names 10 U-M officials and was filed last month in Detroit federal court. Sterrett has been suspended from U-M until at least 2016.
